These beautiful “canastos”, or woven baskets, are handmade in the small town of Sandoná in the picturesque region of Nariño, Colombia. Each piece is crafted by Diana, her husband, and a community of over 120 women artisans who have preserved this ancestral weaving tradition for generations.
Every bag begins with the Iraca palm, carefully processed by hand from its raw state into fine strands that are woven into unique, durable, and artful creations. Known for its exceptional strength and longevity, Iraca makes these bags both functional and heirloom-worthy.
