This beautiful “canastos”, baskets is the translation to the English, are handmade in a small town named Sandoná, in the beautiful region of Nariño, Colombia.
Diana, her husband and family, lead the work of 120 women artisans in the country side of this beautiful town.
They proces the iraca fabric from scratch and transform it in these inique bags, and also so many accessories and home decoration items.
The iraca is known for being very resistant and long lasting. Also, you can flat your bag, and steam it later to its original shape
